Now Playing – Steel
Magnolias
- Truvy’s salon is Chinquapin, Louisiana’s go-to place
for a beauty fix with a hearty side of gossip. Along
with her overeager assistant Annelle, Truvy pampers
her small-town clients with hairdos, manicures and all
kinds of unsolicited advice. Anybody who’s anybody is
a regular: There’s the doting M’Lynn and her
soon-to-be-married daughter Shelby, the moody Ouiser
and the well-to-do widow Clairee. Through witty banter
and wisecracks, this hodgepodge group of women form
friendships as strong as steel, which they are forced
to lean on when tragedy strikes. Running now
through December 15th at the Guthrie Theatre.
Click Here for Tickets or call the Box Office at
612-377-2224.

characters as they try to save their beloved town of
Christmas Lake from annexation. A Hollywood location
scout arrives, hailing Christmas Lake the perfect spot
to film a new adaptation of It’s a Wonderful
Life. Colin and Tess scramble to put on a sparkly
pageant that will draw tourists and hilarity
ensues. There’s lutefisk and lizards, true love and
tater tots, and best of all, unexpected miracles
happen. A ridiculous and zany holiday comedy that you
don’t want to miss! Running now through
December 29th. At YellowTree Theatre, 320 5th
Ave. SE, Osseo, MN. For tickets call 763-493-8733 or

Now playing – A Christmas Carol –
A Twin Cities holiday traditions. A miserly and
miserable man, Ebenezer Scrooge greets each Christmas
with “Bah! Humbug!” until he is visited one Christmas
Eve by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present
and Christmas Future. Through a restless night, the
spirits show him happy memories from his past, cruel
realities from the present and a grim future should he
continue his cantankerous ways. Charles Dickens’
timeless tale continues to be a perennial favorite and
holiday tradition that invites audiences of all ages
to celebrate the merriment of the season with their
family and loved ones.

Theatre.

Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, bring one of Hans
Christian Andersen's most beloved tales to life in The
Emperor's New Clothes. This winsome musical is a
crowd-pleaser for all ages. Fourteen-year-old Emperor
Marcus the 3rd is nervous to take the throne. Deciding
that he can only gain confidence by dressing in the
finest attire, Marcus commands his Royal Clothesmaker
to fashion him in the most royal wardrobe. Taking
advantage of Marcus' uncertainty and immaturity, a
Swindler promises to make magic clothes that are
"invisible to fools, liars, and anyone you should
ignore," for a large and hefty price. Only Arno, the
simple-hearted mop boy, can help Marcus out of this
royal mess and teach him an important lesson about
outward appearance. Running Now

Now Playing - A Father’s Christmas
- The McNulty family has celebrated Christmas at the
family’s cabin for as long as they can remember. Each
year, the patriarch, Patrick McNulty, masterminds a
Christmas riddle that makes the holiday particularly
fun, and earned him the title, ‘Father Christmas.’
But, what happens to family traditions the first
Christmas after the passing of their beloved ‘Pops?’
Who is behind the new Christmas riddle that seems to
miraculously appear? And, is that enough to bring the
joy and healing this family needs? It seems that
‘Father Christmas’ is still presiding over this sacred
holiday, surrounding his family (And, your family, of
course!) with joy filled memories, and hoots of
laughter. Come share in the fun and meaning the
McNulty family finds, and relive some of your own
Christmas memories. Running now through
December 31st at The Season’s Dinner Theatre at
Majestic Oaks. Tickets on sale now at 763-755-2140 or

Student Theatre Camp Experience Rises To Top
Chanhassen Dinner Theatres’ renowned summer theatre
camp program, CHAN DT MUSICAL THEATRE
CAMP, returns this summer with exciting new
themes for youths and teens. Since 1994, over
11,000 kids and teens have learned about the magic of
musical theatre as only Chanhassen can do it. This
educational camp program is also terrific summertime
fun. Kids and teens, ages eight to eighteen, are given
opportunities to explore a wide spectrum of musical
theatre components including voice, movement,
costumes, scenery, stage combat, improv and more --
all taught by professional members of the Chanhassen
acting company, designers and choreographers making
the CDT student theatre experience rise above other
offered theatre camp programs. Camp sessions are
available throughout the summer months for both half
and full day, week-long sessions. This makes the
perfect gift for grandchildren who love musical
theatre or are looking to make new friends and boost
confidence. To register or receive more info, call the
Chanhassen Dinner Theatres’ box office at 952-934-1525
