Now Playing – West Side Story - based on a conception by Jerome Robbins - An iconic American musical.  It's 1957 and two rival gangs, the Jets and the Sharks, are prowling the streets of Manhattan's West Side. When Tony falls for Maria, the sister of a rival gang member, a rumble is planned. Like Romeo and Juliet they're caught in an ongoing feud with no escape, even as they pledge their love for each other. Through the genius of Bernstein and Sondheim, incomparable hits like "Maria," "Tonight," "Cool" and "I Feel Pretty" are merged with the greatest love story ever told in this larger-than-life musical.  Now Playing through August 26, 2018 at the Guthrie Theatre.  Click Here For Tickets or call the Box Office at 612.377.2224.

Through courage, determination, and friendship the “Newsies” are ready to seize the day and take a stand.  Coupled with dazzling choreography, the unforgettable songs are from Academy Award®-winning composer Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas), and include: “Carrying the Banner,” “King of New York,” “Santa Fe” and “Seize the Day.”  Don’t miss this ultimate crowd-pleaser, a Minnesota Regional Premiere, nominated for 8 Tony Awards – Including Best Musical!  Running now through September 29, 2018.  Click Here for tickets or call the box office at 952-934-1525.

November 10, 2018 - The Jimmys - "The Jimmys are one hard act to follow at a blues festival. They are truly a wall of rhythm and blues sound. They've got it all: songs, musicianship and showmanship. Great guys. Great sounds."  The Jimmys have mined pure R&B gold with "Hot Dish". From the opening hit of the Ray Charles influenced "Lose That Woman" to the sultry swagger of "Freight Train" , "Hot Dish" is a winner from top to bottom. Try to not dance when listening to "Funk Schway". It simply can't be done! And the Jimmys are a great live act as well. Look for them on tour soon as they hit the road to support this album of great music. November 23, 2018 - Natalie Murphy  Hometown CD Release Party - Charlie Daniels, Roy Acuff, Doug Kershaw... A woman.  Natalie Murphy is determined to add her name to that elite group. Beyond that, she is poised to redefine it.  Within a year of her move to Nashville, Murphy appeared on the Grand Ole Opry close to a dozen times with some of the biggest names in Country Music. She joined the band of rising star Maggie Rose, and toured with her for almost 2 years before stepping away to write and record her first solo album. November 24 thru December 31, 2018 - I'm Listening this Christmas - A musical comedy by Patti J. Hynes McCarthy.  Running the small radio station in his home town of Walnut Lake, Minnesota, is a far cry from Jon Michael's dreams of becoming a big time disc jockey in a top Chicago market, especially managing a group of mismatched, and, shall we say, 'unique' radio announcers.  That, along with taking care of a sick parent, is proving too much for him.  Just as he is about to shut down KMAS, make this Christmas his most depressing ever, a young radio enthusiast appears on the scene, infusing a dose of optimism and Christmas cheer into everyone at the station, and the town!  Laughs, a few tears, some great Christmas music, and a deeper message of what 'success' really means, will delight people of all ages in this musical comedy.  Playing November 24th thru December 31st at Majestic Oaks Golf Club Seasons Dinner Theatre.  Order tickets online at www.majesticoaksgolfclub.com or call 763-755-2140.

Student Theatre Camp Experience Rises To Top
Chanhassen Dinner Theatres’ renowned summer theatre camp program, CHAN DT MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP, returns this summer with exciting new themes for youths and teens.  Since 1994, over 11,000 kids and teens have learned about the magic of musical theatre as only Chanhassen can do it. This educational camp program is also terrific summertime fun. Kids and teens, ages eight to eighteen, are given opportunities to explore a wide spectrum of musical theatre components including voice, movement, costumes, scenery, stage combat, improv and more -- all taught by professional members of the Chanhassen acting company, designers and choreographers making the CDT student theatre experience rise above other offered theatre camp programs.  Camp sessions are available throughout the summer months for both half and full day, week-long sessions. This makes the perfect gift for grandchildren who love musical theatre or are looking to make new friends and boost confidence. To register or receive more info, call the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres’ box office at 952-934-1525 or go online to www.chanhassendt.com to watch a video and learn more.
