April 22 & 23, 2016 ~ Songs By The Wrecking Crew - The Studio Musicians Behind The Biggest Hits of the 60's & 70's - The Wrecking Crew was a nickname coined by famous drummer, Hal Blaine, for a select group of musicians who played anonymously on hundreds of huge hits in the 60's and 70's.  Arguably, they played the instruments on some of the most successful groups and artists recordings in all of popular music history. These musicians, some of whom would become huge artists in their own right like Glen Campbell, Leon Russell and Dr. John (Mac Rebennack) were studio musicians whose job it was to show up and play songs and record everyday, punching the clock so to speak, and ended up being the "back up band" on recordings for the Beach Boys, Paul Revere and the Raiders, The Carpenters, Simon and Garfunkel, The Mamas and the Papas, The Monkees, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, The Righteous Brothers, Jan and Dean, Barbara Streisand, Neil Diamond and hundreds more. Most people did not know this same group of musicians played on a majority of these groups hit songs until a film about their musical journey called "The Wrecking Crew" was produced and released in early 2015. The Fabulous Armadillos will be showcasing some of the Wrecking Crew's best known songs in this fun look back at a much simpler time.  For tickets call 952-934-1525 or online at www.ChanhassenDT.com

Student Theatre Camp Experience Rises To Top
Chanhassen Dinner Theatres’ renowned summer theatre camp program, CHAN DT MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP, returns this summer with exciting new themes for youths and teens.  Since 1994, over 11,000 kids and teens have learned about the magic of musical theatre as only Chanhassen can do it. This educational camp program is also terrific summertime fun. Kids and teens, ages eight to eighteen, are given opportunities to explore a wide spectrum of musical theatre components including voice, movement, costumes, scenery, stage combat, improv and more -- all taught by professional members of the Chanhassen acting company, designers and choreographers making the CDT student theatre experience rise above other offered theatre camp programs.  Camp sessions are available throughout the summer months for both half and full day, week-long sessions. This makes the perfect gift for grandchildren who love musical theatre or are looking to make new friends and boost confidence. To register or receive more info, call the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres’ box office at 952-934-1525 or go online to www.chanhassendt.com to watch a video and learn more.
